Public presentations
Besides numerous media appearances, PI gave 6 public lectures about the BIRTH project. The lectures were organized in Serbia and Austria with the aim to promote the BIRTH project, but also to educate people in the prehistoric fertility and to improve visibility of ERC funding mechanisms. The lecture at the TEDxNoviSad conference was one of the most visited with approximately 350 people in attendance.

Workshops for primary school children
BIRTH project organized 2 workshops for primary school children in order to promote our work among the youngest and also to work on the development of scientific literacy in children.
On February 18th-19th, 2016 BIRTH held a two-day workshop titled An Ancient Skeleton for Primary School Students, for 60 pupils from 1st to 4th grade where the children got acquainted with the basics of osteology and birthing process from skeletal perspective and had the opportunity to put together a human skeleton by themselves.
On September 30th 2016 BIRTH organized workshop Life of Neolithic figurines at the archaeological site of Vinča-Belo Brdo. The aim was to familiarize school children (2nd to 4th grade) with figural art of the Late Stone Age and to explain how and why BIRTH project analyses figurines. In the first part of workshop, the role and meaning of Neolithic clay figurines was explained, as well as the research methods that archaeologists use to gain knowledge about the past. In the second part, children have enjoyed making figurines out of the dough and baking them in a replica of the Neolithic oven.
